The driver arrives with a lift-gate truck and lowers the crated stove at the end of your driveway. Are these EPA certified wood stoves?

Every freestanding wood stove in this collection is certified to the EPA 2020 standard, the current federal requirement for new wood heaters. The two wood cookstoves are the exception — cookstoves fall under an EPA exemption and are not certified appliances.

What does the EPA 2020 standard actually mean?

It caps particulate emissions from new wood heaters. Each certified model's tested emissions figure in grams per hour is listed on its product page — our stoves range from roughly 1.3 to 2.4 g/h. Lower generally means a cleaner, more complete burn.

What size wood stove do I need?

Use the table above as a starting point, then adjust for insulation, ceiling height, and climate — the sizing calculator accounts for those. Oversizing is a common mistake: a stove that's too large for the space gets run low and smoldering, which dirties the glass and the chimney.

Can I install a wood stove in a mobile home?
