Fire Screens & Spark Guards

Factory firescreens and firescreen doors for Drolet, Englander and other SBI-built wood stoves and inserts — with no sales tax in any state and free curbside freight on orders over $250.

Which fire screen fits your stove?

Screens are matched to your stove's door opening, not its model name — several appliances share one screen. Find your model below, or measure your door opening and match it against the figures. Our fire screen fitment guide has the full chart with measuring instructions.

Linked models are stoves and inserts we stock. Osburn, Enerzone, Century and Valcourt appliances are built by SBI on shared chassis — we sell the correct factory screens for them, but not those appliances.

Rigid firescreens vs firescreen doors

A rigid firescreen is a flat mesh panel with handles that sits in the stove's door opening. You lift it out to close the appliance door. A firescreen door is hinged — it stays mounted, and you swing it open to tend or reload the fire without removing the whole screen. Both use the same mesh and the same fitment logic; the door version costs more and is the better choice if you plan to sit with the fire open for long stretches.

Finding the right screen

Stove Builder International builds Drolet, Englander, Osburn, Enerzone and Century Heating stoves on shared chassis, which is why one part number covers models across several brands. What matters is the door opening. Every screen above lists the opening dimensions taken from the appliance's own installation manual — see our clearance guide for the other install figures.

If your model isn't listed, measure the width and height of your stove's door opening and match it to the closest figure. SBI doesn't publish dimensions for the screens themselves — only for the appliance openings — so the opening is the figure to compare against.

Fire screen FAQs

Will a fire screen reduce my stove's heat output?

Yes, substantially. A wood stove is designed and certified to run with the door closed, and open-door operation is for ambiance rather than heating. Read the open-door conditions in your stove's owner's manual and the firescreen instructions before you buy.

How do I know which screen fits my stove?

Find your model in the table above. If it isn't there, measure the door opening — width and height — and match it to the closest listed figure. Several brands share one screen because they share a firebox.

What's the difference between a rigid firescreen and a firescreen door?

The rigid screen lifts out; the door is hinged and stays mounted. Same mesh, same fit, different convenience.

Do these fit Osburn, Enerzone or Century stoves?

Yes — those are SBI brands built on the same chassis as the Drolet models listed, so these are the correct factory screens for them. We sell the part, not those appliances.

Can I use a fire screen on a wood insert?

Several of our screens fit inserts, including the Escape 1500-I, Escape 1800-I and the Blue Ridge 150-I, 300-I and 500-I. Note that insert openings often differ slightly from the freestanding version of the same model — the table above gives both.

Do you charge sales tax on fire screens?

No. StoveSource charges no sales tax in any state, and orders over $250 ship free to the lower 48.
