Overview

The Deco Nano keeps spaces up to 1,200 sq ft consistently warm while burning cleaner than most stoves on the market — EPA 2020 certified at just 1.8 g/h. Its deeper firebox holds a charge for up to 5 hours and accumulates more ash before needing to be emptied, so you spend less time tending the fire. The built-in log storage, ceramic glass airwash system, and taller-than-average profile make it as practical to live with as it is to look at. Made in Canada and the USA, it backs every structural component with a limited lifetime warranty.

  • Heats up to 1,200 sq ft with 45,000 BTU/h maximum output
  • EPA 2020 certified at 1.8 g/h average particulate emissions
  • Up to 5 hours burn time — 1.55 ft³ EPA loading volume
  • Accepts logs up to 17" — loaded over depth
  • Glass airwash system keeps ceramic glass clear for an unobstructed flame view
  • Non-catalytic secondary combustion with stainless steel secondary-air system
  • Certified for mobile home and alcove installation
  • Proudly made in Canada and the USA — Limited Lifetime Warranty

What's Included: Pedestal with log storage, top air deflector, ceramic glass, cast iron door with adjustable hinges, ash lip, air damper, stainless steel heat shield.

Frequently asked questions

To get the most out of your wood-burning stove, it's crucial to choose the correct size of stove for your home to ensure effective warmth and to conserve energy! Wood-burning stoves by size are categorized as SMALL (up to 1,500 square feet), MEDIUM (up to 2,500 square feet), and LARGE (over 2,500 square feet, or for Open-floor plans). When choosing a wood-burning appliance, you'll also want to pay attention to how well the stove will work based on the firewood you use, how well (or poorly) your home is insulated, the height of your ceilings, and the layout of your house. At StoveSource, we have an extensive selection of EPA-certified wood-burning stoves available to accommodate any size or heating requirement.

Not sure what size you need? Use our quick sizing calculator to get a recommendation for your space: Stove Sizing Calculator
You can view the exact stove dimensions in the official Drolet Deco Nano dimension drawing here:
https://www.drolet.ca/file/DB03215_D%C3%A9co_Nano.pdf
The same dimensions are also listed in the Specifications section and Product Documents on this page.
If the wall is made of combustibles, the minimum distance is 18'' (450 mm); however if the wall has an appropriate shield, that minimum distance may be reduced by 50% (to 9'' (225 mm). Please refer to the installation manual to see specific clearances based on setup (for example, a heat shield present on combustibles, double wall pipe or single wall pipe?).
Yes. The stove must be installed on a non-combustible floor (concrete, ceramic tile, brick, stone, fiber cement board, etc.). If it's placed on a combustible floor, a hearth pad with the proper front and side protection is required. We carry hearth pads and floor/wall heat shields in our accessories: Accessories
This is not related to the stove itself.

At all times, SINGLE WALL pipes must be 18 inches away from any combustible.

DOUBLE WALL pipes must be 6 inches away from any combustible.
Wood stoves usually have this black pipe that goes from the stove to the wall or ceiling. Then, it needs to connect to a masonry chimney or switch to a Class A chimney pipe. This type is made to handle high heat and exhaust gases safely. Picking the right chimney parts is super important for making sure your wood stove vents properly and safely.
A blower isn't required — the Deco Nano runs fine without one on natural draft. A blower simply helps push warm air out into the room faster and more evenly, so it's a nice upgrade if you want to move heat around quicker. The recommended blower for the Deco Nano is the Drolet Variable-Speed Blower (100 CFM, AC02050): Drolet blower with variable speed control 100 cfm ac02050. Pair it with the Quick Connect Thermodisc (AC02055) if you'd like it to switch on automatically once the stove heats up. Both are shown under "What else you'll need" next to the Add to Cart button.
The Deco Nano works well on its own, but a few accessories are worth considering. We'd recommend: a fresh air intake kit (especially for air-tight or newer homes), the variable-speed blower (AC02050) to circulate heat more evenly, and a hearth pad if you're placing it on a combustible floor. A firescreen is a nice add-on if you enjoy an open-door fire view. You'll find all of these under "What else you'll need" next to the Add to Cart button, or browse our full accessories selection here: Accessories
Yes, you definitely need a hearth pad under your wood-burning stove. It's there to keep your floors safe by blocking heat and stopping sparks or embers from causing any damage. Plus, having the right hearth pad is important for safety and makes sure you're following building codes when you set up your stove.
The maximum burn time is 5 hours.

You can keep it burning longer as long as you keep adding logs.
Yes. All Drolet stoves use an air-wash system; all SBI brands are the same.

Air enters under the stove, moves through channels on each side, and exits just above the window. The air wash lets air in just above the glass.
Yes, the Deco Nano is equipped with secondary combustion technology.
Yes, you can cook food or boil water on this stove top. Did you know that if you lost power it could be very helpful?

The surface of the stove can reach a high temperature (500°F – 700°F) which is sufficient to allow for both cooking of foods and boiling of water.

Be careful when putting hot skillets or pans on painted surfaces; it could ruin the paint.

If you'd like to prevent damaging the painted stove top, consider using a stainless-steel plate or cast iron grate.
It only vents out of the top.
No. The Deco Nano does not have a removable ash pan — it uses an ash shelf instead. To remove ashes, wait until the stove is completely cool and the fire is fully out, then use a shovel to scoop the ashes into a metal container with a tight-fitting lid. Leave about an inch of ash on the firebox floor to help hold a good ember bed. Store the closed container on a non-combustible surface, away from anything that can burn, until the ashes have fully cooled before disposal.
Yes — the Deco Nano is one of our most popular choices for smaller spaces. It's rated up to 1,200 sq ft and is EPA-certified for indoor residential use, so it's well suited to a small home or cabin. For an air-tight or newer build, we'd also suggest the optional fresh air intake kit to support clean combustion. You can browse all our small wood stoves here: Wood Stoves — or use our sizing calculator to confirm the right fit: Stove Sizing Calculator
The 30% federal Biomass Stove Tax Credit (Section 25C) offered up to $2,000 for qualified EPA-certified biomass stoves rated at least 75% efficient. It was originally available through 2032 but was ended early by the 'One Big Beautiful Bill' signed into law in July 2025, and expired on December 31, 2025 — so there is no federal biomass stove tax credit for purchases in 2026 and onwards.

Important! Tax laws change often, so please confirm current credits with a tax professional or the IRS website before purchasing. Several utility and state programs also provide rebates for energy-efficient heating appliances — check your state energy office as a starting point.

We bought one it seems fairly well built not plumbed in yet but we had a bunch of broken bricks they just left them loose for shipping. I have been arguing with Drolet via emails (including pictures) because they have sent replacements twice now and still not enough to replace the broken ones. She was actually a bit rude about the whole thing. I'll have to email her again it's frustrating.

The only concern I had when ordering this stove was its ability to hold a fire for 8 hours. It is rated at 5 hours. I have absolutely no trouble holding a fire for 8 hours using dry fir wood. It will usually hold a fire for 10 hours. Have been using the stove now for 2+ months and couldn't be happier. The only thing I didn't like was the fit of the fresh air intake kit but it does work. I am heating new construction of 900 sq ft.

It's a very nice unit — heats well and easy to install. Love the look with the log storage. It's well made. The shipping was great. Some complications: the gasket around the door stuck to the woodstove on the first burn which led to the gasket being frayed. The door arm isn't finished very nicely where it goes through the door — you can see the threads which aren't black but rather exposed metal.

Had my stove installed and certified in April. It's now September and there is smoke leaking from the bottom of the box between the box and the wood storage area. Trying to get help from Drolet has been impossible. I need to know NOW if it's safe to use my wood stove.

We have not used it yet, we have to get replacement bricks and baffles that were broken when we got the stove from the store, then I can have it installed and see what I think.
