Overview
🎁 INCLUDED FREE: Magnetic Stove Thermometer and 50 Fire Starters — everything you need for your first fire.
The Drolet Deco Nano N wood stove (model DB03216) is the current version of the Drolet Deco Nano: a compact, modern stove raised on a pedestal with a built-in log storage bay. It heats 250 to 1,200 sq ft with a maximum heat output of 75,000 BTU/h, takes logs up to 17" and burns up to 5 hours per load. It is EPA 2020 certified at 1.7 g/h with 74% average efficiency (HHV) and approved for mobile homes and alcoves. 19 1/2" W x 30" D x 32 3/8" H.
Who the Deco Nano N is for
- Cabins, cottages, tiny homes and small houses of up to about 1,200 sq ft.
- Living rooms where the stove is on display: the raised firebox shows off the fire, and the open bay below keeps a day's kindling and splits tidy.
- Tighter corners and side walls: it needs less side clearance than the other NexBurn small stoves (see below).
Insulation, layout and climate all move the real heating area. For longer overnight burns or more than 1,200 sq ft, step up to a larger model from our wood stove collection.
Deco Nano vs. Deco Nano N: what changed
If you searched for the Drolet Deco Nano (DB03215), this is the model Drolet builds today. The original Deco Nano's EPA certification ran out on September 21, 2026, and Drolet replaced it with the Deco Nano N. The styling and the log-storage pedestal carry over. Inside, Drolet's NexBurn system sends primary air along the length of the fire and adds a tertiary combustion zone, lifting maximum output from 45,000 to 75,000 BTU/h with slightly lower emissions.

| Overall output range | 12,124–26,700 BTU/h | 18,782–71,262 BTU/h |

| Fresh air intake kit | AC01421 | AC01422 |
Heating area, 17" logs, 5-hour maximum burn, 74% HHV efficiency and the 6" flue are unchanged. Replacing an older Deco Nano? With single-wall pipe the N needs 2" more to the rear, 1" more to a side wall and 5" more to a corner. With double-wall pipe it actually sits 3" closer to a side wall. Measure before you order.
Firebox, burn time and heat output
The firebox has an overall volume of 1.85 cu ft (1.67 cu ft EPA loading volume) and measures 14 1/4" wide, 11 3/4" high and 18 7/8" deep. Logs load north-south, front to back, up to 17" long; Drolet recommends 16" splits. The door opening is 12" x 7 5/8", in a cast iron door with ceramic glass and an air wash that helps keep the glass clear. Under EPA test conditions the stove delivers 18,782 to 71,262 BTU/h from low to high burn. Treat the 5-hour maximum burn as a best case; dry hardwood, a full load and good draft get you closest to it.
Deco Nano N vs. Escape 1200 N vs. Spark II N
All three share the same NexBurn firebox and performance figures. They differ in styling, base and how close they can go to a wall.

Choose the Deco Nano N for its contemporary look, log storage and the smallest side clearance of the three; the Escape 1200 N for a traditional pedestal stove; or the Spark II N for the lowest price. Current ship status: Deco Nano N No confirmed date; Escape 1200 N Ships in 1–3 days.
Blower option
A blower isn't required; the stove heats by radiation and natural convection. To move more warm air into the next room, add the Drolet 100 CFM variable-speed blower (AC02050), the blower listed in the Deco Nano N parts list, with the Quick Connect Thermodisc (AC02055) so it runs only when the stove is hot.
Venting and installation
The Deco Nano N has a 6" flue outlet and uses 6" connector pipe to a UL 103 HT (2,100°F) factory-built chimney or a code-approved masonry chimney, at least 12 ft tall. See our wood stove chimney and stovepipe guide, 6" stove pipe kits and chimney liner kits. In the USA, double-wall connector pipe cuts the clearances to 8" rear, 15" side and 12" corner; with double-wall pipe and the certified 53" x 58 1/2" wall heat shield (AC02762) they drop to 3". For a mobile home, single-wall pipe is forbidden and Drolet requires the 5" fresh air intake kit (AC01422) with insulated duct such as our insulated flex pipe (AC02090).
Floor protection
Unless the stove sits on a non-combustible floor such as concrete, it needs a continuous non-combustible ember pad; no R-value is required. In the USA, the pad extends 16" in front of the door opening and 8" to each side. The 46 3/4" x 54" black steel hearth pad covers the Deco Nano N's pedestal plus those extensions; see all hearth pads.

The stove measures 19 1/2" wide, 32 3/8" high and 30" deep overall. Key dimensions are also listed in the Specifications section below.
Important if you are replacing an older Deco Nano: with single-wall pipe the N needs more room (the outgoing model required 12" rear, 18" side and 11" corner). Note also that the Deco Nano N's side clearance (19") is smaller than its Escape 1200 N and Spark II N siblings (24") — use this model's own figures. Always confirm against section 3 of the installation manual.
On the tax credit: the 30% federal biomass stove tax credit (Section 25C, up to $2,000) was ended early by the 'One Big Beautiful Bill' signed in July 2025 and expired on December 31, 2025, so there is no federal biomass stove tax credit for purchases in 2026 onwards. Confirm current credits with a tax professional or the IRS. Some state and local utility rebates still exist — check your state energy office.
