The Drolet Escape 2100 is Drolet’s largest and most powerful non-catalytic wood stove, built for serious heating in big spaces. EPA 2020 certified at 1.6 g/h, it delivers up to 110,000 BTU/h to heat 1,000–2,700 square feet. Its massive 3.5 ft³ firebox accepts 22" logs loaded in either direction and burns up to 10 hours on a full load.

This is my second winter heating our home exclusively with the Escape 2100. We heat 2000 square feet with ease. Load up in the morning and before we go to bed- that's it! Very happy so far and it is Canadian made which is important to us.

It has been a good stove but is prone to cracks in the baffle and heat shield.

My review is based mainly on the customer service. I like the stove for the price. But 2 pieces cracked, the baffle and a heat shield just under the top plate. I reached out to customer service and asked for this heat shield. But they tell me it does not exist. I replied with pictures and 4 other emails…. No response. They are currently "ghosting" me. Meanwhile, it's getting cold and this is my heat source.

It looks good so far. One of the fire bricks was cracked upon arrival, the dealer is getting me a replacement. Have not had a fire yet. The sticker on the owner's manual said the serial number is 2743 but the label on the back of the stove says the serial number is 2744. I used 2744 for the warranty registration.

ajustement de la porte compliqué pour que la chambre soit étanche. Difficile d'ajuster la ''clé'' pour avoir une combustion régulière. Soit le bois noircit et minuscule flamme, soit tout s'embrase et e consume en un clin d'oeil. Notre bois est de bonne qualité et sec. Nous avons toujours chauffé au bois. Rien a voir avec les modele de poêle dit ''polluants''.

Very well built. Door hinges and handle need adjusting from time to time. Door has sagged slightly. Door maybe a tad light duty. Burn dry low ash wood like larch or fir without bark and you never have to remove ash. It'll buildup to 2 inches and stay there. Dig channel in ash north to south each time you load wood. Lay first layer east west then remaining pieces north south to roof. I can fit in 30 to 35 pounds of wood about 13 pieces 17 inches long. Light with door ajar then close on hi for 6 or 7 minutes then turn down to low and let it burn for 10 to 11 hours. Two charges per 24 hours. 16800 pounds of wood burned each year!

First off, I love this product. The heat that it puts out is fantastic and it burns all night long. I couldn't recommend it anymore. Another thing we love was the service! When it arrived, there was a piece that was broken and when we reached out to the company, they were incredibly good about getting back to us and super responsive and have a replacement piece with instructions to put it in almost immediately. We couldn't be happier with the stove or the company.

Burning 2 winters now Heating wise very good, but there is a flaw in airflow design in the box...The airflow in box is directed to the door up and around to the chimney. So everytime you reload small amount of smoke enters the room.

Just now starting to use the stove and it does an excellent job of heating. The only issues are the fan was very noisey when attached to the stove, adding a gasket between the fan and stove helped but still noisey. The other issue is the door gasket leaks at the lower corners.

So far, this stove seems to burn HALF as much wood as our older woodstove. Also, when loaded at night, it keeps our home warm until morning, something our old stove couldn't do. The air-wash on the glass also keeps the glass at least 10 times cleaner! This is a great feature!
There has been a learning curve getting a good, hot fire started with this. Thankfully, we got this stove toward the end of our cold season. Our remaining wood had only seasoned about 6 months. It was fine for the old stove, but we had to use very dry wood and crack the door to get this stove started, then our wood worked alright. Next year, our wood should work much better, from what I read.
