Overview
Drolet's portable steel wood stove for hunting camps, wall tents and ice fishing huts. It takes 20" logs in a 2 ft³ firebox — the longest log length of any camp stove we carry — puts out up to 45,000 BTU/h, and the flat steel top doubles as a cooktop. At 56 lb shipping weight it rides on an ATV to camp. For recreational, temporary installations only: not for homes, cabins or any permanent structure.

Clearances to combustibles
From the Hunter owner's manual. Set the stove on a completely non-combustible surface, and keep single-wall stove pipe 18" from combustibles.

Those 48" clearances are larger than they look in a tent — measure your tent walls before you buy.
Firebrick
The Hunter ships without firebrick. Drolet recommends (but doesn't require) lining the firebox floor to protect the steel and lengthen the stove's life — the 4" × 8" firebrick 9-pack ($29) covers it.

Where the Hunter wins: the longest logs of the three, and a 6" outlet if you already own 6" pipe. Where the Englanders win: heavier 12-gauge steel against the Hunter's 14-gauge, legs that pack inside the body, published wall-tent size ratings, and complete kits with pipe included. The Grizzly also has the bigger firebox. Drolet does not publish a tent-size rating for the Hunter.
Note: The Hunter is a recreational appliance — it is not certified as a residential heater, and the manual prohibits installing it in a mobile home or any permanent building. Use it only in temporary installations such as an ice fishing shack or prospector tent, pass the pipe through a rated stove jack, keep a permanent source of fresh air in the shelter, and follow the owner's manual. Ships via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight – carriers include XPO Logistics, Estes Express, ABF Freight, Old Dominion, and FedEx Freight. Transit time is typically 3–10 business days from ship date. The carrier will call to schedule a delivery appointment.
Curbside delivery only. The driver will lower your order to the curb or end of your driveway via liftgate. This does not include bringing the item inside, carrying up stairs, or crossing uneven terrain.

Inspect before signing. Before signing the Bill of Lading (BOL), check for any visible packaging damage. Write "DAMAGED" or "Subject to inspection" on the BOL if anything looks off.
Contact us within 5 business days of delivery. Open and fully inspect your item within 48 hours.
Returns. Unused, uninstalled units in original packaging can be returned within 30 days. Appliance returns are subject to a $300 return freight charge plus a 15% restocking fee. Units that have been fired or installed cannot be returned. Accessories and parts carry a 15% restocking fee.
