Overview
The Drolet Bistro is a unique hybrid wood cookstove that heats your home and cooks your food from the same fire. With up to 75,000 BTU/h and a 500–2,100 sq ft heating range, it delivers serious warmth while the integrated 1.26 ft³ oven handles baking and roasting. The non-catalytic stainless-steel secondary-air system achieves 76% HHV efficiency (83% optimum) with only 2.0 g/h particulate emissions. The firebox accepts 20" logs for up to 8 hours of burn time. EPA 2020 certified. Made in Canada and USA.

Not the stove for me, i got it to boil water. After a couple years burning good dry hard wood correctly I have never gotten a kettle to boil. I saw an obadiahs video showing the stove top at 500F. I cant get mine over 350F. Otherwise good stove. I can sustain the oven at 350F but you would need amazing draft to make this stove work right and i just cant get it.

Loving this stove. Having an oven and cooktop in addition to having it heat the house is just marvelous. Fires start easily, it heats efficiently, and the glass stays remarkably clear. I've used a number of woodstoves in my life and this is my favorite by far.

The stove has arrived and after carefully removing the crate sadly the oven glass is broken. I'm hoping you will send me a replacement window for the oven asap.

-Peux être un jour pratique pour un bris de normalité.

-Très pessant....
-La profondeur frontal aurais du être 1 a 2" de plus. Si vous avez couper
votre bois un peu plus que 16"... Ça entre pas.
-Pour le partir ou l'allumer ont doit s'attendre a avoir un retour de fumer
dans la maison. Car l'espace du haut est réduit à cause du fourneau
-Un manque d'arrivd'air fait que il est dur a faire monter la température..
Si ça serais a refaire je l'achèterais pas.

Great stove. Puts out a good amount of heat and after 6fires seems relatively efficient. Glass viewing area for fire isn't real big but I am happy with it. Only cooking I e done so far is reheating pizza in the oven and boiled a pot of water on the top. Had to fill out review early as part of product registration. If able I'll update more in the future.
Ash removal is ok but could be better:larger hole and a grate.
Overall I like it and would buy again.

est arrivé il y a tout juste 3 mois avec un thermometre non fonctionnel, maintenant la porte du four qui ne ferme plus correctement et je viens de m'apercevoir qu'une goupille est absente sur la porte du poele... ca c'est la partie visible. Je ne suis pas du tout rass urée sur le controle qualité qui a pu etre fait.

This stove arrived with a broken glass door and broken baffle. I was told that it will take a month to replace the broken glass. This is disappointing as I had hoped to get the stove working for this winter. Otherwise the stove looks well made, but it will be a while before I can use it!

wow ordered it on sunday and it was sitting in my driveway by wednesday afternoon. just love it did our first burn on friday and cooked supper with it that night. everything turned out fantastic and can't wait till winter when it is going fulltime, then there will be no need to turn on the electric oven. only complaint i have is the manual it came with is french and then thermometer for the oven starts closer to 400 degrees celcius than 0 degrees celcius. all an all best bang for your buck.

Absolument déçu de mon achat. J'utilise du bois sec d'au moins un an et il fais beaucoup de boucane. Il y a toujours une fumée dans la maison qui se dégage, surtout quand la porte est ouverte. Je dois nettoyer l'espace intérieur à tous les 2 mois, cela implique de démonter la section supérieure, gratter, passer la balayeuse et le remonter. Impossible à faire seule.

Purchased Bistro to eliminate creosote issues we had with previous cook stove. Been using this 2 days and it seems like it will work for us. Thank you Drolet for giving us an efficient option for both cooking and heating! One improvement that is necessary is to add a cooktop ring burner to the cast iron top... doesn't need to be centered... whatever works for casting. This is vital for cleaning above the oven without having to remove chimney pipe...I don't require it for cooking, but other people might. Other nuances I have thought of can't really be considered improvements...it is a solid stove and you can't have everything in one... it's perfect... just add a removable ring in top casting! (Photo is a tiny first firing but shows flames swirl along secondary air tubes)

Love our Bistro stove. Provides way more than enough heat for our "cabin in the woods".
Oven works great, the top is good for making soups, but not for frying, which is probably a good thing. You don't want to splatter grease on this lovely stove.
Wood box is a decent size, with damper closed we can stock it up for the night and light from coals in the morning.

Nice looking Cook Stove, and getting it on sale at the end of the season was a Bonus. Easy to install, and I am just waiting to get it WETT certified for insurance purposes. I have yet to conduct the burn in process, and can't wait to see how well the oven works.

Love the stove but find getting the oven hot enough to cook takes quite a hot fire. Still learning the stove and how best to load. After reading the FAQ here today, I'll cut smaller pc's of wood and see if I can improve the firing. Air supply is good as I run with a window open 2" and have air supply ready to install should it become necessary. Burning all oak and hickory with 14%. Also noticed a pretty good pop in the oven (I assume) is that natural as the box expands with the heat? Love it but still learning.

This unit just arrived and was installed today - I have no experience burning in it just yet. It arrived in good shape but for a damaged interior latch to the oven door. The manufacturer has been contacted via email about a replacement part. Also, the oven door has a visible gap with the stove body when closed - I am also awaiting comment on this.

Just had our Bistro installed. Excited is an understatement. We'll do first burn in 4 days, supposed to in the 40s so we will open windows and give it go. Can't wait to cook a pizza in the oven.
