Compact Drolet Stoves — Up to 1,200 sq ft
The Spark II, Fox and Deco Nano share one firebox platform: 45,000 BTU/h maximum output, 5-hour burns, 17" logs, and EPA 2020 certification at 1.8 g/h. The Escape 1200 N — like the Spark II N — is built on Drolet's newer N platform: the same 17" logs and 5-hour burns, but 75,000 BTU/h, 1.7 g/h and wider wall clearances. All four are certified for mobile home and alcove installation. The choice comes down to style, budget and how much wall room you have.
1. Drolet Spark II
The most affordable way into a new EPA-certified Drolet. The Spark II pairs a cast iron door and ceramic glass airwash with a deep combustion chamber that holds more ash than comparable models, so you empty it less often. It ships in a rigid cardboard box with simple assembly. For a small home, cabin or workshop, this is the value pick.
In stock now: the Spark II N ($1,049) is Drolet's newer, separately certified version of this stove — and it's more stove: 75,000 BTU/h maximum against 45,000, a 1.85 ft³ firebox, and 1.7 g/h emissions. The trade-off is wall room. With single-wall pipe the N needs 14" rear, 24" side and 16" corner clearance, against 12", 18" and 11" for the Spark II and Fox; double-wall pipe cuts the N's rear clearance to 8". Floor protection and 6" venting are the same. Plan the install from the N's own manual on its product page. The $999 Spark II itself is on backorder — Ships Sep 29.
2. Drolet Fox
Mechanically the Spark II's twin, but with a distinctive decorative cast iron door featuring a fox motif — and no glass window. If you want a heater with character rather than a flame view, the Fox is the only stove in the lineup like it. It's back in stock and ships in 1–3 days, and because it keeps the original 12" rear / 18" side clearances with single-wall pipe, it's the tightest-fitting Drolet we can ship right now.
3. Drolet Deco Nano
The contemporary option in the compact class: clean European lines and an integrated log storage base. Same 1,200 sq ft heating range and 1.8 g/h emissions as its siblings, in a package that looks at home in a modern condo or A-frame. The original Deco Nano has no confirmed restock date; the Deco Nano N is on backorder — Ships Oct 1.
4. Drolet Escape 1200 N
The traditional pedestal take on the compact class, with a glass airwash system for a clear flame view. Like the Spark II N, it's built on Drolet's newer N platform — 75,000 BTU/h peak, 1.7 g/h, and the same wider clearances (14" rear, 24" side with single-wall pipe) — so measure before you commit in a tight room. If you like the classic Escape-series look but only need to heat up to 1,200 sq ft, this is your model, and it's in stock now. The original Escape 1200 is on backorder — No confirmed date.
Mid-Size Drolet Stoves — Up to 1,800 sq ft
The 1,800 sq ft class steps up to 65,000 BTU/h, 7-hour burns and 18" logs. All four are EPA 2020 certified at 2.4 g/h. Fair warning on this bracket: every model in it is on backorder, so if you need mid-size heat sooner, look at the Escape 1800 a tier up, or the Englander Blue Ridge 300L and 300P.
5. Drolet Columbia II
The classic workhorse of the mid-size class and consistently one of Drolet's most searched-for models. Traditional styling, straightforward operation, and the lowest price of the 1,800 sq ft group. Ships Nov 17.
6. Drolet Blackcomb II
Same price as the Columbia II with a refractory-lined firebox and a lower-profile silhouette. A strong pick for basements and rec rooms. No confirmed restock date at the moment.
7. Drolet Escape 1500
The Escape 1500's side heat shield panels reduce clearances to combustible walls — often the deciding factor in a tight room layout. If placement is your constraint, start here. 8. Drolet Deco II

This tier moves to 75,000 BTU/h, 8-hour burns, 20" logs and a 2.4 ft³ firebox.
9. Drolet Escape 1800 — Best Overall
The best-known stove in the Drolet range, our pick for most homes, and in stock: 2,100 sq ft coverage, 77% overall efficiency, side panels that reduce wall clearances, and a top heat exchanger that pushes heat forward into the room. It comes in three configurations — black door on pedestal, black door on legs, and brushed nickel door on legs — plus an insert version, the Escape 1800-I, for masonry fireplaces. 10. Drolet Heritage
Same heating class as the Escape 1800, but with a 100 CFM blower included in the box — a meaningful savings versus adding one separately, and the fastest way to move heat into adjoining rooms. EPA 2020 certified at 2.3 g/h. Ships Nov 24.
11. Drolet Deco Alto
The flagship of Drolet's contemporary Deco line: tall-format styling, cast iron door with adjustable hinges, and the same 2,100 sq ft / 8-hour-burn performance as the Escape 1800. Choose it when you want large-home heat with modern looks. Ships Nov 11.
Maximum-Output Drolet Stoves — Up to 2,700 sq ft
Drolet's two biggest stoves share a 110,000 BTU/h ceiling, 10-hour burns and 22" logs. Both also clear a corner at 7¼", the tightest in the range, which makes them the rare large stoves that still suit a corner-mounted wood stove layout.
12. Drolet Escape 2100 — Best Large Stove In Stock
A 3.5 ft³ firebox that takes 22" logs loaded over width or depth, heavy-duty 5/16" steel top with C-Cast heat shield, and up to 10 hours on a single load. The overnight-burn specialist — and, with the HT-3000 on backorder, the largest Drolet we can ship this week. On paper the two are matched on output, firebox volume, burn time and log length; the HT-3000 runs slightly cleaner on certified emissions, the Escape 2100 arrives now.
13. Drolet HT-3000 — Best for Large Homes
Drolet's flagship heater: 2,700 sq ft coverage, 78% overall efficiency, and EPA 2020 certification at just 1.32 g/h — among the lowest particulate emissions in its class. If you heat a large home through a serious winter, this is the stove the rest of the lineup is measured against. (Wondering about the HT-2000? It's discontinued — the HT-3000 is its successor.)
Set against premium brands in the same coverage class, the Drolet HT-3000's 1.32 g/h is among the lowest of any non-catalytic stove rated to 2,700 sq ft, and its $1,899 price is a fraction of a cast-iron flagship's. Catalytic stoves from Blaze King and HearthStone burn cleaner still and hold a low fire longer — the trade there is a consumable combustor and roughly double the money, not better heat output. On timing: the HT-3000 is on backorder — Ships Oct 14, with curbside freight on top of that. If you need heat sooner, the Escape 2100 is the direct swap.
Which Drolet Wood Stove Should You Buy?
Match the stove to the space: up to 1,200 sq ft, the Spark II N is the value pick and the Escape 1200 N the classic-look pick, both in stock — or the $999 Fox, also in stock, if wall room is tight and you don't need a glass door. Around 1,800 sq ft, the Columbia II is the safe default once it returns in November. For most homes above that, the Escape 1800 is the best all-rounder and ships now, and for big spaces and long winters it's the Escape 2100 today or the HT-3000 once it is back in stock.
