Blaze King Wood Stove Prices: What They Cost and Whether You Need One
Share
If you have been trying to find out what a Blaze King costs, you have probably noticed the problem: almost every dealer page says Request Quote instead of showing a price. That is not an accident, and it is why this search has no good answer online.
Here is what we can tell you, and what to do with it.

First — which "King" are you looking for?
Two unrelated stoves are sold under the King name, and searches for "king wood stove" return both mixed together. Worth thirty seconds before you shop.
| Brand | What it is | Where you buy it |
|---|---|---|
| Blaze King — King 40, Princess, Chinook, Sirocco, Ashford | Premium catalytic stoves with thermostatic control and very long low-output burns | Authorized dealers only, quote-based — this page |
| US Stove "King" — e.g. the VG520 sold at Menards | Budget non-catalytic stoves and wood furnaces | Big-box retail — Menards, Tractor Supply, Northern Tool |
They share nothing but the word. Blaze King is a Washington-state catalytic specialist; the King name at Menards and Tractor Supply belongs to US Stove Company, which also owns Ashley and Vogelzang. If it is the budget line you are pricing, our US Stove and Ashley vs Englander guide is the relevant one — particularly the section on how US Stove's advertised BTU figures compare to what the manuals actually state. Shopping US Stove's King pellet stoves instead (KP130, KP5522 and the rest)? See King pellet stoves vs ComfortBilt. There is also a vintage Ashley lineage worth knowing about if you inherited one.
The rest of this page is about Blaze King.
The short answer
Dealers who publish prices put Blaze King's current wood stoves at roughly $2,700 to $4,800 in 2026, stove only, depending on model, door style and options. In practice, a quoted-and-installed King or Princess commonly lands well north of $5,000 once it is vented.
Treat those as ballpark figures rather than a quote. Blaze King sells through brick-and-mortar dealers, prices vary by region and configuration, and we are not a Blaze King dealer — we are reporting the range, not offering it.
The Blaze King Princess price specifically: the Princess 32 is the model most buyers price first, and most US dealers still quote it rather than list it. Owner reports ran from about $2,200 on year-end deals several years ago to $3,700–$3,800 more recently, and current estimates put it at roughly $3,500 to $4,800, stove only. The Princess insert lists at about $3,651.
For comparison, our prices are on the page: the Drolet and Englander stoves we would put against a King or Princess run $1,419 to $1,929, with No Sales Tax in any state and free shipping. See the five models and which ones ship now.
Blaze King prices by model, 2026
Published dealer prices found in October 2026, stove only. Blaze King publishes no MSRP, so use these as a starting point for a quote. Burn times are Blaze King's maximums on the lowest thermostat setting.
| Blaze King model | Heats | Firebox | Max burn | Flue | Dealer price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Princess 32 | 1,200–2,500 sq ft | About 2.9 cu ft | 30–32 hr | 6" | Quote only; estimated $3,500–$4,800 |
| Princess insert | — | — | 29 hr | — | About $3,651 |
| King 40 | 1,500–3,000 sq ft | 4.25 cu ft | 40 hr | 8" | About $3,954 |
| Sirocco 20.2 | 900–1,500 sq ft | 1.86 cu ft | 20 hr | 6" | About $2,699 |
| Sirocco 30.2 | 1,100–2,400 sq ft | 2.9 cu ft | 30 hr | 6" | About $3,195 |
| Ashford 20.2 | 900–1,500 sq ft | 1.86 cu ft | 20 hr | 6" | From about $4,215 |
| Ashford 30.2 | 1,100–2,400 sq ft | 2.9 cu ft | 30 hr | 6" | From about $4,592 |
| Chinook 20 | 900–1,500 sq ft | 1.86 cu ft | 20 hr | 6" | About $4,277 with convection deck |
| Chinook 30 | 1,100–2,400 sq ft | 2.9 cu ft | 30 hr | 6" | About $4,823 with door, deck and ash drawer |
| Sentry 14 | 600–1,300 sq ft | 1.46 cu ft | 14 hr | 6" | Quote only |
The Sirocco, Ashford and Chinook share fireboxes within each size; the price difference is styling, cast iron trim and options. The King 40 looks mid-priced at about $3,954, but it needs an 8-inch flue, covered below. The closest stoves we sell: the Escape 2100 or HT-3000 for the King and Princess, the Escape 1800 for the 30.2 and 30 series, and the Escape 1500 for the 20.2 and 20 series.
The costs that come after the stove
This is the part that moves budgets, and it is where the quote-gating hurts you most.
| Item | Typical add |
|---|---|
| Chimney or stainless liner | Varies by height and type |
| Hearth pad | $189–$525 (freight on larger pads shown at checkout) |
| Labor and install | $1,000–$2,500+ |
| Blower, pipe, cap | Model dependent |
One item specific to Blaze King's largest stove: the King 40 requires an 8-inch flue, not the 6-inch used by most stoves. Eight-inch venting costs meaningfully more than 6-inch, and if you are replacing an existing 6-inch system you are buying a whole new chimney, not an adapter. Ask about flue size before you fall in love with a model.
A $3,000 stove is routinely a $4,500 to $5,500 project. When you call a dealer, ask for the installed price including venting — that is the only number that lets you compare anything.
Why the prices are hidden
Blaze King sells exclusively through dealers, and dealer pricing varies by territory. Quote-gating lets pricing stay flexible by region and keeps the conversation in the showroom, where the install can be sold alongside the appliance. It is a legitimate business model and it is how most premium hearth brands operate — Quadra-Fire, Lopi and Jotul all work the same way.
Harman is the exception now: it lists "starting at" prices for every model, which shows what quote-gated pricing looks like once the numbers are out — see Harman pellet stove prices.
The practical consequence for you is simply that you cannot comparison-shop from your couch, and you will need two or three quotes to know whether the first one was fair.
Is it worth it?
That is a longer question than price alone, and we have answered it properly elsewhere. The short version: Blaze King's catalytic stoves with thermostatic control post burn times nobody else publishes — up to 40 hours on the King 40, 32 on the Princess 32 — and emissions as low as 0.55 g/h, which is genuinely among the cleanest on the EPA list.
The catch is what those numbers describe. Maximum burn times occur on the lowest thermostat setting, which is a low-output trickle of heat — excellent for shoulder season, less relevant on a January design day, when a Blaze King works through a load in roughly the same 8–14 hours as a good non-catalytic stove.
Our full breakdown, with Blaze King's own published specs and model-by-model matchups, is here: Blaze King vs Drolet: Are 30-Hour Burn Times Worth the Price? If the catalytic question itself is what you are weighing, catalytic vs non-catalytic covers combustor life and replacement cost.

If long burns are the whole point

Worth knowing before you commit to a catalytic wood stove: if the real goal is "I do not want to tend a fire," pellet solves it differently and more cheaply. The Englander 25-CBPAH ($2,199) carries a 120 lb hopper rated up to 75 hours per fill, thermostat-controlled, at the bottom of the Blaze King price range. The trade is that it needs electricity — our wood vs pellet comparison covers that properly.
