Is this the right product?

This is a hearth extension, 18" deep × 50" wide. It extends an existing non-combustible hearth in front of a fireplace insert. It is not a pad for a freestanding stove: those need at least 35" of depth. Check the extension distance your insert's manual asks for.

A 10 mm clear tempered glass panel, 18" deep and 50" wide. The shallow depth makes this a hearth extension rather than a pad to sit a freestanding stove on — it runs along the front of an existing masonry hearth or fireplace opening to carry ember protection further out into the room, which is the usual fix when an insert's manual asks for more coverage in front than the existing hearth provides. Polished, non-sharp edges and corners.

Compatible appliances

This panel is not sized for a freestanding stove. Every wood stove we sell needs at least 35" of depth in front-to-back coverage once the manual's 16" front clearance is added, and this panel is 18" deep. Placing a freestanding stove on it would leave bare floor inside the required protected area.
