Overview
Cold Weather CrownCoat is a brush-on elastomeric coating that repairs and waterproofs a cracked chimney crown when it's too cold for regular CrownCoat. Saver Systems now sells this formula as All Weather CrownCoat. Its Freeze-Cure technology lets it cure normally above freezing, or cure faster below freezing, so a winter crown repair doesn't have to wait for spring. When to use it
Use it when the surface or air is below 45°F, or when it will freeze before a regular coating can cure. For warmer jobs, or when you need more than a gallon, regular CrownCoat comes in 2 and 5 gallon pails and covers about 40 sq ft per gallon. On a soft, sandy mortar crown, use CrownPrep crown conditioner first when the temperature allows (it needs 45°F or warmer).

Before you start
- The crown must be structurally sound, clean and dry. Brush off loose particles with a stiff poly brush.
- Do not apply to frost-covered or wet surfaces, or if rain is expected within 4 hours, unless you can cover the work with polyethylene film.
- Store the pail above 32°F. It is a freeze-cure product and will cure in the container if it freezes, so don't leave it in a truck overnight in winter.
