The hopper lid switch is a safety interlock: when the lid opens, it cuts power to the auger so pellets stop feeding. If the stove won't feed with the lid shut, stops feeding at random, or shows a hopper-open error, the switch has likely failed or come out of adjustment. Each variant includes one switch.
