A 4-pack of replacement measuring pins for the Digital Firewood Moisture Reader (AC07835). The pins are the part that takes the wear: they are pushed into split wood again and again, and once they are bent, blunt or corroded the readings become unreliable.
Why accurate readings matter
Burning wood that is not properly seasoned is the most common cause of a smoky, sluggish fire, stained stove glass and fast creosote buildup in the chimney. Test a freshly split face of a piece from the middle of the pile, not the dry outside end. Replace the pins whenever they are damaged so the reader keeps telling you the truth.
