Genuine Quadra-Fire (OEM) Thermocouple (14") for the Quadra-Fire Castile, Mt. Vernon, Santa Fe & More.
The thermocouple senses the fire in the burn pot and tells the control board the stove has lit and is running. When it fails the stove shuts down shortly after start-up, or never switches from start-up to normal run.
