The auger bit is the spiral screw inside the feed tube that carries pellets from the hopper up to the burn pot. A bent, worn or broken flight shows up as uneven or no pellet feed, grinding or squealing from the feed system, the auger motor turning with no pellets dropping, or repeated jams. This is the auger bit only; the motor is sold separately.
