Which size?
Measure the inside of the flue and pick the brush that matches. A brush that is too small slides past the creosote; one that is too big jams. For a 6" or 8" round flue, use the 6" or 8" brush.
Fittings: 3/8" NPT is the standard tapered pipe thread used on most chimney brushes and fiberglass rods. Buttonlok is A.W. Perkins' push-button quick connect: Buttonlok brushes go on Buttonlok rods. To put a 3/8" NPT brush on a Buttonlok rod, add the Buttonlok to 3/8" NPT brush adaptor.
