Fittings: 3/8" NPT is the standard tapered pipe thread used on most chimney brushes and fiberglass rods. Buttonlok is A.W. Perkins' push-button quick connect: Buttonlok brushes go on Buttonlok rods. To put a 3/8" NPT brush on a Buttonlok rod, add the Buttonlok to 3/8" NPT brush adaptor.
