The proof of fire (POF) switch is a heat-sensing switch that tells the control board a fire has actually lit and is still burning. When it fails, the stove usually starts up, then shuts down or throws an ignition-failure error even though there are flames in the burn pot. This pack includes two POF switches, so you have a spare on hand.
