Overview
Warms a cold chimney liner so your Escape 1800-I insert drafts from the first match, with no smoke rolling out the door.
The Drolet 6" Draw Collar for Wood Inserts (AC02613) is the insert version of Drolet's electrically heated draw collar. It heats the flue to create draft, and a snap disc thermostat switches it off automatically once the fire is going and back on as the fire dies down. That helps an insert vented into a cold masonry chimney get the flue moving at start-up and keeps it from reversing on a low fire.
Drolet lists this collar as a recommended accessory for the Drolet Escape 1800-I, which vents through a 6" liner. Drolet has discontinued the item, so what we have is the remaining distributor stock.
