The ash pan catches the ash that falls from the burn pot so you can empty it without making a mess. Replace it if yours is warped, cracked, rusted through, or no longer seats and latches tightly, since a poor fit can let air leak into the firebox and upset the burn. One model-specific steel ash pan is included.

Fitment notes: Ash pan shape and latching differ between models, so pans are not interchangeable — confirm your stove model before ordering. The HP21 and HP50 pans have handle latches built in. The HP22 / HP22N and HP61 pans use separate side latches, which are not included — reuse your existing latches or order a set separately.
