Carolina stoves ship as a bare firebox that goes either on legs or into a fireplace with a trim kit. The trim kit is the surround that covers the gap between the stove body and your fireplace face once the stove slides into a brick or stone fireplace. It comes in two sizes:

Fitment notes: this trim kit is made for the Carolina FP21 only; the Model 74 NC and Model 81 use their own trim kits. Per the Model 21 NC owner's manual, your fireplace opening must be at least 23 1/4" wide, 21" high and 15" deep, with non-combustible hearth or floor protection at least 16" in front and 8" to each side.
