Vogelzang Pellet Stoves: Discontinued — What to Buy Instead in 2026
Vogelzang pellet stoves are no longer made. When US Stove Company retired the Vogelzang brand (see our full Vogelzang discontinuation guide), the pellet models — the VG5770/VG5790-era stoves — went out of production along with the wood line. Remaining stock cleared out years ago; what's left is the used market and a shrinking parts supply.

The Two Paths Forward
Path 1 — Same manufacturer: US Stove Company's pellet stoves now sell under the Ashley Hearth badge. The AP-series continues the value positioning — the AP5622 pairs a 170-lb hopper with up to 80 hours per fill, and the AP60 is the smaller 60-lb-hopper option. Is a used Vogelzang ever worth it? For a heated shop where a $300 used unit and some new gaskets is the whole budget — maybe, if it runs. For home heating, no: auger motors, igniters, and control boards are the parts that fail on old pellet stoves, and sourcing them for a retired brand gets harder every year. A pellet stove is a machine, not a steel box — unlike an old wood stove, it can't work without its electronics.
